About Us
We are Jennie and David and we live on the beautiful South Coast where we are a short distance from both the seashore and the New Forest where we can walk and have fun with our dogs. I have lived with German Shepherds for the past 30 years and discovered the beautiful White German Shepherd in 2001. In 2005 I became the proud owner of Tia ( Firepool Kiss Kiss - Hip score 5.4 ). We also have Ruby, a daughter of Tia who we hope to breed from her in the near future.
We do not have outdoor kennels, our dogs live with us as part of the family and puppies are reared in the heart of the home where they become accustomed to all the hustle and bustle of everyday home life from birth.
Jennie has studied and successfully completed courses on Canine Behaviour and Canine Psychology and is a qualified Puppy School Tutor and a member of the 'Institute of Animal Care Education' (M.I.A.C.E.) As a qualifed trainer I fully appreciate the importance of early socialisation and puppies are familiarised with household appliances, children, visitors, dogs, traffic noises etc etc before they leave us and I expect any new owners to commit to continuing this training so that all Jesalba puppies will be well adjusted, well behaved adults who are not only a credit to their breed but become much loved family members.
We do not allow our puppies to go to homes where they have to be left on their own all day, dogs are social animals and a lonely bored puppy find his own amusements be this chewing the house, howling and generally learning bad habits which often result in him/her being rehomed after a few months through no fault of his own.
Puppies are checked by our own vet before going to their new homes and leave us with six weeks free insurance, diet sheet, food, a puppy sales contract plus either a copy of the 'The Perfect Puppy' book by Gwen Bailey or if preferred a 'Puppy School' training DVD also by Gwen Bailey and every effort will be made to supply names of 'positive reward based' training schools in the new owners area so that the puppy's education can continue in the same way as he/she has been used to.
A genuine lifetime support comes with each puppy and we ask our new owners to keep in touch regularly and to let us know how they are getting on with their new addition to the family. Photos of growing pups are very much appreciated and are often turned into calendars at the end of the year, a copy of which is sent to each new owner.
